Tyler

Tyler is our oldest child. At 14 he makes me feel very old, not to mention short. The kid is freaking 5'10" tall. Unfortunately I am still 5'2". That makes yelling at him a bit more challenging.

Tyler began high school this year which also means early morning seminary. Whew, and when I say early I mean early. It starts at 5:50 and ends at 6:40. For those of you who may not know what seminary is...it is daily, in depth scripture study before the start of the school day. The only sucky part is that aside from seminary we don't have to get up early since we homeschool. Yes, I am homeschooling a high schooler. He is still enjoying it and I do intend to homeschool all of my children until college.

Tyler is also continuing to play football. He is a starter on the offensive line this year and can I say he totally rocks! He has a really great coach who has really been able to teach him how to play his position really well. It's kind of hilarious that he plays on the O line because while he is 5'10" he only weighs about 130 lbs. Tall and skinny, but man the kids is fast! On the football field, of course. At home he moves like a one hundred year old tortoise.
